Let’s start with what confidence is? Confidence is a function of progress. It feels good to forward in life. HINRG is the confidence building gym because the owner, Paul Battaglia, recognizes that all athletes come to HINRG to feel good about themselves. There are many students who transform their identity at HINRG by gaining confidence in their ability to set and hit goals. Progress, which is foundational to feeling good, requires only two things: sustained focus + work ethic (perseverance, integrity, sense of ownership and commitment to excellence). HINRG’s kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable coaches keep the children engaged. Children have a deep need to learn and grow. HINRG coaches understand that our obligation is to create opportunities to focus, work hard and achieve. The curriculum has been designed to encourage incremental progress. The children are made aware of the next step in their development which provides a high degree of ownership. Children love to feel confident. We all love to feel confident. Ask yourself:
- What areas of your life do you feel confident?
- Are you stagnant in these areas or moving forward–still learning and growing?
My guess is that you feel good about the areas that you are seeing desirable results. Everyone deserves to feel confident about their ability to move forward in life. HINRG choreographs wonderful confidence-building experiences for thousands of children every year.
