Beginner Tumbling & Cheer Jumps:

The Beginner Tumbling & Cheer Jumps class is perfect for ages 5-8 who want to learn the fundamentals of tumbling and cheer skills. This class will work on handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, cheer jumps, cheer motions, and so much more! We will also focus on building balance, flexibility, and strength required to advance as an athlete. Class is offered at Trampoline Academy in Chesterfield.

Middle School Cheer & Tumbling:

The Middle School Cher class is designed for middle school girls who want to learn the basics of cheer and tumbling. This class will focus on cheer fundamentals such as cheer motions, jumps, chants, and stunt safety. As well as beginner tumbling skills such as handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, back handsprings, and so much more! This class will also work on balance, agility, flexibility, and strength to advance as an athlete.

Beginner Tumbling:

This class emphasizes the fundamentals of tumbling. In this level you will learn forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, and round-offs. We will also introduce athletes to front flips, back handsprings and front handsprings. Athletes will be able to utilize our spring floors, rod floor, tumble tracks (60 foot trampoline), and euro trampolines throughout the session!

The beginner “fast track” is an additional 20 minutes of strength and conditioning training that takes place right after the tumbling class. Strength and flexibility are the two most important prerequisites for success in gymnastics/tumbling. Our coaches are well trained to deliver a workout program that helps condition athletes to the necessary level to perform more advanced tumbling skills.

Intermediate Tumbling:

This class is designed for boys and girls who want to concentrate their efforts on the tumbling aspect of gymnastics. This class targets standing back handsprings, round-off back handsprings, front handsprings, front tucks, with an introduction to back tucks. Athletes will be able to utilize our spring floors, rod floor, tumble tracks (60ft trampoline), and euro trampolines throughout the session!  Athletes must have mastered a back handspring UNASSISTED on trampoline to enroll in this class.  

The Intermediate “fast track” has an additional 20 minutes of strength and conditioning training directly after the tumbling class. At the intermediate level of tumbling, athletes are performing more advanced skills – conditioning is crucial for the attainment of such movements, as well as for safety.

Advanced Tumbling:

This class is designed for boys and girls who want to concentrate their efforts on the advanced tumbling aspect of gymnastics. This class targets standing back tucks, round-off 2 back handsprings, round-off back handspring back tucks.  This level will also introduce layouts and twisting. Athletes will be able to utilize our spring floors, rod floor, tumble tracks(60ft trampoline), and euro trampolines throughout the session!

This class will include 70 minutes of tumbling with an efficient warm-up, followed by 20 minutes of strength and conditioning training. At this level of tumbling, the conditioning aspect of their training is crucial for the attainment of the more advanced skills, such as layouts and twisting.  We incorporate strength and conditioning to create athleticism in the tumblers so they are able to reach new levels.  Athletes must have mastered standing 3 BHS on a tumble track (trampoline) and round-off back handspring on Floor UNASSISTED to enroll in this class.
